  • Sorry to hear about the cancellation. Especially this late in the game after doing all that prep work and the expense.

  • I'm sorry to hear this! I can only imagine how much work has gone into this and I want you to know what you have done is appreciated. As the Cubs say, "Wait 'til next year!"

  • Thank you for writing me and letting me know last year was the lst time I found out about your show and it was wonderful.  I am making copies of your website and giving them to all my family and friends and even the letter you have written to me to say it was canceled. But in 2009 will glad to see your show once again.  Thanks again and may the Lord always guide your family

  • Will you please send me info next year?

  • That definitely is not good news; I was finally going to get around to sending my registration this weekend, next year.

  • I'm sorry to hear you had to cancel the Roundup.  I know you have already put a lot of work into it.  Maybe this will free you up to play more this summer.

  • I think that bummed is an understatement!!!! Well maybe we can still have a bunch of us still get together and have some fun. I was going to let you know that if you want you can bring the chuck wagon up to our place; we don’t have much to offer, but a real pretty spot out on the back 40 to set up and do some cooking. You can bring your own horses or we have an extra team to get you back there. Well keep me posted! If there is some way to help let me know.

  • Sorry to hear that, I know the time and energy you've spent preparing! Love ya!

  • I am sorry to hear your event is canceled is there a chance the road could be done on the same weekend of Jesse James Days in Northfield. It might be a chance to see if that would bring bigger crowds, just a thought. The September Weather is better than the early June weather.

  • I am so sorry to hear this.  This was going to be my first year visiting this wonderful event and am really bummed that I'll miss it; but will definitely look forward to next year.  Thank you for all your hard work on this wonderful event.

  • SO Sorry to hear about your problems with construction and the DOT.  Three or four years ago we had our main roadway bridge closed and had to re-route people.  The SD DOT talked like they would help us out a lot with signs but when the time came we were mostly on our own.  It is so frustrating to hear the various departments claim they work together to further tourism but when the rubber hits the road its a different story. Keep a good thought.

  • This sucks! I originally thought it wouldn't be a big deal - just reroute down the back road that runs past Malt-o-Meal down to Dundas...  But, it sounds like the DOT is going to cause massive problems for a LOT of people....

  • I am sorry to hear about your tough decision. It was untimely to close the highway at that date.  Guess the highway department is the boss.

  • WOW! Broken hearted for certain!  I'm so sorry, how messed up is that!....  So sorry for the mess, let me know if there is anything I can do.

  • BUMMER!!

  • I am sorry to hear about the cancellation of the Wild West Roundup.  If there is anything we can do let me know.

  • I'm really sorry that your hard work for this year's event was for wasted. I do understand about the road construction season, as we will be dealing with Hwy detours for the rest of this year…..  Was really looking forward to WWR this June. I had great hopes of a really fun weekend. I hope that you'll be planning for 2009, as I will be too.

  • How disappointing.  I am sorry to hear you had to do this, but appreciate your consideration of artists and artist/participants.

  • I'm really very sorry to hear that, I know how hard you've worked and got the momentum building..... This has to be incredibly frustrating for you…..

  • and many phone calls from friends of the Wild West Roundup.

  • Dang... my son was going to do it this year.... Maybe next year... keep me on your email list

  • Sorry to hear that about the roundup :-( I'll keep my fingers crossed for next year!

  • Sorry to hear that but you made the right choice in this case. Some day I'd like to talk with you on view points for future round ups. The Roundup isn't over it's just set back a little.

  • Sorry Jody to hear about the cancellation.  Keep us in mind in the future.

  • Oh, that is a shame, yes, will get it in the newsletter for you. Hopefully next year.   Thanks for the notice.

  • Unbelievable!! I will cancel the event on our end. Please contact us again next year. Thank you.

  • Oh that's just awful.  I feel so bad for you.  What a disappointment.  I shall miss it too.
