We are pretty bummed about having to make this decision, but do not see any other way to handle the situation. We have just found out that the State DOT is going to be closing 2 bridges on HWY 3 for the summer, the only main road to the grounds, one bridge immediately north and one to the south. The detours will be quite roundabout, and difficult to deal with for the non-locals. We don't think enough people will accept the imposed inconvenience and go that far out of their way to get there. We have already spent a lot of time and the better part of our advertising budget promoting the 2008 festival. We simply do not have the funds available for a brand new advertising campaign to reroute the people trying to get to the festival grounds. We think it will only lead to more confusion. We hope you understand our dilemma. Anyway, thanks for your interest in the Roundup. Maybe next year!
